About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Senior Project Manager to lead and oversee commercial, industrial, and construction-related electrical projects from pre-construction through closeout. This role is responsible for estimating, scheduling, budgeting, billing, and coordinating projects while ensuring timelines, budgets, and customer expectations are met.
The ideal candidate brings strong electrical construction knowledge, proven project management experience, and the ability to build strong client relationships while supporting field teams and driving project success.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage electrical projects from planning through completion, ensuring projects stay on schedule and within budget
- Develop and maintain project schedules, milestones, and timelines
- Participate in pre-construction activities including bids, site visits, and project planning meetings
- Oversee estimating, budgeting, cost forecasting, and monthly billing processes
- Process and manage change orders, including cost and schedule impacts
- Negotiate subcontracts, purchase orders, and project-related agreements
- Build and maintain strong relationships with current and prospective clients
- Support field teams with communication, coordination, and technical guidance
- Coordinate equipment, materials, rentals, and purchases for project execution
- Proactively identify risks, resolve issues, and implement recovery strategies when needed
- Lead project closeout activities including documentation, warranty support, and final deliverables
- Ensure compliance with company safety standards and jobsite safety requirements
Qualifications
- 5–8+ years of project management experience in electrical construction or related trades
- Proven success managing construction projects from start to finish
- Strong knowledge of electrical systems, construction methods, scheduling, and budgeting
- Experience with cost forecasting, billing, and contract management
- Ability to interpret project plans, specifications, and contract documents
- Strong understanding of construction safety standards and industry best practices
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Highly organized with strong time management and multitasking abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Preferred Skills
- Experience managing commercial and industrial electrical projects
- Strong negotiation skills for vendors, subcontractors, and clients
- Ability to resolve project disputes and manage competing priorities
- Self-starter with strong leadership and team-building skills
