Overview

We are hiring a Heavy Equipment Technician to install, calibrate, troubleshoot, and repair GPS-grade control and machine-control systems for construction equipment.

This is a hands-on role working with modern construction technology systems on earthmoving and grading equipment in both shop and field environments.

What You’ll Do

• Install and calibrate GPS grade control systems on heavy equipment
• Troubleshoot and repair electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical issues
• Work with machine control systems such as Topcon, Trimble, and SmartGrade
• Test and verify system accuracy before equipment goes to job sites
• Support field service calls and customer equipment issues
• Work alongside service and technical support teams

What We’re Looking For

• Experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, field technician, or similar role
• Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
• Ability to read schematics or willingness to learn
• Background with construction or industrial equipment preferred
• Strong hands-on problem-solving ability

Nice to Have (Not Required)

• Experience with Topcon, Trimble, SmartGrade, or machine control systems
• Construction, agriculture, or diesel equipment background
• Welding or fabrication experience

Work Environment

• Mix of shop and field work
• Active construction job sites
• Outdoor work in all weather conditions
• Occasional regional travel with overnight stays
