Helper Mechanic – Elevators & Accessibility Equipment

📍 Based in Oklahoma City, OK. Regional Travel | Home Every Weekend

💰 $24–30/hr + Overtime + Per Diem

🛠 Hands-On Mechanical & Electrical Field Service Role

We are looking for a mechanically inclined Helper Mechanic to support the installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of elevators, lifts, and accessibility equipment throughout the region.

This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys hands-on work, solving mechanical/electrical problems, traveling to different job sites, and building a long-term career in the elevator and accessibility industry.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Assist with installation, maintenance, and repair of elevators, lifts, and accessibility equipment
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues in the field
• Work alongside experienced technicians on service calls and job sites
• Read and follow wiring diagrams, schematics, and technical instructions
• Complete service reports and maintenance documentation
• Maintain tools, equipment, and service vehicles
• Ensure all work is completed safely and professionally
• Participate in occasional after-hours or emergency service support

What We’re Looking For

• Strong mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn
• Basic electrical troubleshooting experience preferred
• Previous experience in mechanical repair, construction, maintenance, automotive, diesel, HVAC, or field service is a plus
• Ability to use hand and power tools safely
• Good communication and customer service skills
• Comfortable working at heights and in physically active environments
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record

Schedule & Travel

• Monday–Friday | 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
• 5–10 hours of overtime weekly
• Regional travel within 2–3 hours
• Occasional overnight travel required (25%)
• Per diem provided for applicable travel
