Geomatics & Survey Solutions Specialist


Location: Flexible within Midwest Territory

Travel: Approximately 50%


Compensation: Competitive and dependent on experience


Position Summary


We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Geomatics & Survey Solutions Specialist to support the growth and implementation of advanced reality capture, scanning, UAV, and geomatics technologies across a multi-state territory.


This role is ideal for someone with a background in construction technology, surveying, geomatics, civil construction, machine control, UAV operations, or related field technologies. The successful candidate will serve as a technical resource for customers and internal teams while helping drive adoption of emerging construction technology solutions.


Key Responsibilities:

Reality Capture & Scanning Support

• Support customer implementation and utilization of reality capture technologies

• Perform jobsite scanning, data collection, and field documentation activities

• Assist with UAV/drone operations and data capture workflows

• Support point cloud generation, 3D modeling workflows, and reality capture deliverables

• Coordinate with third-party providers and technical partners on data processing activities

• Assist customers with post-processing workflows and project deliverables

Customer Support & Training

• Conduct equipment, software, and workflow demonstrations

• Provide customer onboarding and training on geomatics and scanning technologies

• Assist customers with troubleshooting, workflow optimization, and technical support

• Support field layout, machine control, and positioning applications

• Serve as a trusted technical resource throughout the customer lifecycle

Technical Collaboration & Growth

• Work closely with sales, technology, and operations teams to support customer success

• Identify opportunities to expand reality capture, scanning, and geomatics solutions

• Stay current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices

• Assist with internal training initiatives and technical knowledge sharing

• Support the development of new technology-driven service offerings

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in surveying, geomatics, civil construction, heavy civil, construction technology, engineering support, or related industries

• Familiarity with one or more of the following:

  • UAV/drone operations
  • LiDAR or SLAM scanning systems
  • Point cloud processing
  • GNSS/GPS equipment
  • Machine control systems
  • Construction layout workflows
  • Reality capture technologies
  • • Experience with construction technology software platforms and workflows
  • • Strong customer-facing communication and presentation skills
  • • Ability to work independently and manage travel schedules effectively
  • • FAA Part 107 certification preferred, or willingness to obtain certification
  • • Experience conducting customer training, demonstrations, or technical support activities is a plus

• Approximately 50% travel throughout assigned territories
